The Stylish Mom Life Start

- Life

It’s been a good five years or so since I started telling family and friends that I wanted to start a blog. I’ve studied my favorite blogs and taken notes on why I love them and their creators. Every woman has something wonderfully different to offer. As time went by (and I continued to procrastinate), the content I wanted to display evolved.

I began with the idea that my blog would center around fashion, outfit styling, etc. My first career aspiration was to be involved in the fashion industry in some aspect. I didn’t follow that dream out of fear. I know it takes time to build a name for yourself in that industry, and, honestly, I wasn’t willing to starve before I found success.

Then my first sweet baby, Jaxon, came along, and I became very interested in mom blogs and the challenges moms face in our day-to-day struggle to raise a tiny human. I don’t think it matters if you’re a first-time mom or a mom of five, we’re always wondering if we’re doing this right. Getting a glimpse into another mom’s life can encourage us. It can make us feel better that we’re not the only ones losing our minds sometimes.

About halfway through my pregnancy with our second son, Jasper, we bought a house. I became very interested in home décor blogs, where to buy what and how to style it. Even if someone had a completely different style than mine, I loved that I could get a peek into someone else’s home.

My head is full of ideas on how I want to run this thing, but I’ve decided to do a little of each. After all, that’s what’s so fascinating about blogs, right? It’s a peek into someone else’s world. The blogs I love the most are genuine looks into these women’s lives. I think that’s why I’ve put off starting my own blog. You’re really putting yourself out there! You’re allowing yourself to be vulnerable to others’ opinions. But where’s the fun in life if you don’t push yourself outside of your comfort zone?

I hope you’ll follow along with me and get something out of this, even if it’s only a little entertainment.

Oh my gosh girl. I love this. SO MUCH. I too have had marriage struggles. I mean who doesn’t when you’re 16 and pregnant then married at 18! It’s almost like you’re asking for trouble right lol. I feel like you and I are kindered spirits. I can’t wait for more blog stories from you because you definitely had me sucked in.

Thank you! I felt so vulnerable writing this but I feel like people don’t talk about it enough. Young couples should know it’s normal to struggle sometimes. You just let me know if you want to have a moms only date! I’d love to get together with you!!

I remember when you first told me of your interest in starting a style blog, but I can’t remember how long ago it was; certainly before you were pregnant with Jasper. I’m excited to see you’ve made it happen, and it makes sense you’d broaden your niche to match your life choices and changes. I wish you the very best! Enjoy!
